He managed to gain victory in the contest, thereby having the best comeback in the history of World Poker Tour contest. Edler was also triumphant in heads-up play succeeding in the opening $10,000 buy-in Heads-Up Poker contest in Compton city in California.

Edler completed the sixth slot at the Bay101 Shooting star World poker tour contest in March 2007, thereby earning $160,000 and cashing in 6 other World Poker Tour events.
